BIOGRAPHY

Kyla Carter is a SAG/AFTRA, EQUITY actress.  She is currently starring as CJ Suki in the new DreamWorks animated television series TROLLS THE BEAT GOES ON.  Kyla is also excited to reprise the role of Susan Waverly this holiday season on the Broadway National Tour, IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, directed by four time TONY NOMINEE, Randy Skinner. 
 
Kyla has been seen on the vaudeville stage as Baby June, in the equity production of GYPSY, at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport, Long Island. Here she won a "ENCORE" award for "BEST CHILD ACTOR on LONG ISLAND."  
 
Kyla started her professional stage career at age 8 when she was cast in the Broadway National Tour of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, directed by three time TONY WINNER, Jack O'Brien.  As part of the original cast, Kyla performed in the principal roles of Gretl, Marta and Brigitta.  She toured 18 months, performed over 500 shows, visited 50 cities and 26 states, without missing one day of work or school on the road!  
She recently has enjoyed working on two Broadway bound musicals. As Young Princess Diana in, DIANA,  she worked with Tony Award winning director Christopher Ashley, and David Bryan from Bon Jovi.  As Amy in THE BEDWETTER, Kyla worked with comedian, Sarah Silverman and award winning director Alex Timbers.
Kyla started her professional television career at age 5.  She can be seen on HBO in THE LEFTOVERS, as Young Nora, and on Nickelodeon in WALLYKAZAM!, as the voice of Hattie the Witch.  

This summer, Kyla was very excited to start another journey with the team from DreamWorks, as she just found out she will be the title role in a new animated television series!
